Small Hiatus

To anyone who may read my posts, I know I haven't been on. I have a draft in the works about a series I discovered almost a year ago, but I just haven't had the time or ambition to complete it.  With two jobs taking up most of my time, I probably won't be on until I quit the one I work full time for. I've been crazy busy and so tired. So, I am taking a small break. I'll be back. And who knows, maybe  I'll end up finding the chance to update this.  Thank you for sticking around through this craziness. I'll be back eventually.

COMMENTS WITH CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM HELP

Another boring ass post that has nothing to do with a book I've read. Boo. But before I forget... if there's anyone out there at all that reads these lame ass posts, HELP ME. I need feedback on the blog. I need some ideas on how to improve. Less rambling? More of my thoughts? Less recap on the book? Post specific songs with specific scenes? I'm not even sure anymore. I thought I did. But I don't. Sue me. Or help me. One of the two (I'm not this bubbly in person... I promise... I only sound like this because I have a chance to catch my awkwardness and not let it show....) Anyway. I'm done rambling again. My bad.

Heeelllooo, world! While I'm taking a hiatus from my other blog, and revamping the layout and all of this... well, I figured I'd start with something. I think I've got it figured out now (for reals this time, I promise!). It'll be organized chaos and not as time consuming considering I'm sitting here at work, again, working on the blog. Hey, it keeps me awake most of the night, right? I promised you a post, so here it is. I'm not really sure what to do on a book blog, except recap a story and then maybe analyze it...so bear with me! So, this book caught me-- hook, line, and sinker. I was definitely enraptured by the cover and thought the synopsis sounded fairly decent. And boy, was I not disappointed. It was a bit slow in the beginning, as the author immediately introduces the main character, Leisa, and another very important character, King Soren. The world building wasn't something I would call epic, but it definitely tied nicely with the events happenin...

More Boringness... PLEASE READ THIS

Hello! If you're new, lemme catch you up on some shit. If you've been here before, stay tuned... things are for real changing... I read.. A LOT. Some of my finds on KU or in general I haven't posted because I go through books so fast, or I'm waiting on another book in the series. What I  have up posted so far isn't what I've only read... there have been far more. I also post boring ass updates like these because... well, I don't have an answer to that... no, I didn't before, but now I do. IM NOT HAPPY WITH HOW I LAID THIS BLOG OUT. To be honest, it sucks. And it makes it harder and more time consuming and just wears on me to the point where I don't want to blog anymore. Especially when I do most, if not all, of my blogging at work in the middle of the night because nothing really happens on graveyard shifts... at least on a good night. I have so many books I want to post about, so many drafts I need to finish, but don't have the time or energy to...

Crescent City **SPOILERS**

Hello again! I apologize for not being on much lately. Life got in the way. Again. I know, I know, I need a new excuse. I've been reading several books at once because I ordered several that were promising and I almost forgot I had a book blog...whoops. CC is definitely a book that will stick with me for a long time. It was so well written (I also just love SJM's work) and the world building in this book was *chef's kiss*. At first reading this, I was a bit hesitant. I saw a lot of mixed reviews because the beginning is pretty slow (not gonna lie, it was), and most people didn't seem to enjoy it, or though it immature. The ones who thought this marvelous book immature are crazies! Seriously. For the age range and being slightly more adultish than YA, the writing and the language were perfect. But, let's dive in a bit, shall we? The main character is Bryce for most of the story. She is half human and half fae, daughter of the autumn king--though it's not known...

Kindle Unlimited!

Growing up, I've always been a physical copy kinda girl. I hated the idea of kindles and reading online (though that didn't stop me from being impatient and googling where to read some books online when I didn't want to wait...). But lately, with my Amazon subscription, I've delved into the world of Kindle Unlimited. There are a TON of books I've discovered (and quite enjoyed) through KU. Here's some books I recommend if you're looking for a good read! I will say the Faceless Mage was a very unique story that tops the list right now! And because I'm at work (again, what else is new?) and bored because nothing exciting happens in the middle of the night, I'll even give the excerpt for each one!  Evermore Academy series by Audrey Gray  After spending my entire life avoiding the creatures that murdered my parents, one stupid mistake binds me to them for four years.  My penance? Become a human shadow at the infamous Evermore Academy, finishing school fo...

I was going to do a new post with a book series I rediscovered... Something I haven't read since middle/high school years. But then I realized how many book posts I have sitting in my drafts that I need to seriously revamp... Although this one doesn't seem to need a lot of revamping. Yay!  Amy A. Bartol is another one of my favorite authors and I adore her writing and her stories! So I was ecstatic when I found this! I did end up buying the first two in this series, but I didn't find myself finishing the second one. I found the adventures and some of the characters to be repetitive; it was almost like there wasn't character development in some. The beginning of this book felt...rushe...

Welcome...

Hello! If you're new to my blogs, welcome! If you're not, I'm going to be focusing on this one for a bit.  I've decided I want to share the world of books and reading with everyone. My thoughts, what songs I think match, favorite parts and characters, etc. I've read a lot of books. Even some before they became so popular. I'm constantly looking for new material and adding to my collection.  I do mostly read YA fantasy with some spice because I'm a sucker for some romance between characters, but I am expanding outside of that ( though depends on my mood). I'll choose a book every week, give or take a few days since I'm terrible at remembering I have a blog....or two... For this week's book, I'm going with ACOTAR ( A Court of Thorns and Roses) by Sarah J. Maas. Yes, it's insanely popular, but I've only just recently discovered the series and oh, my damn. The following books from this first one are... Oh, they're yummy, spicy, roman...
